Here are some example characters - need more fluff text here.
The core of the cell formed about a two years ago - after the core of the group (Rosamunde, Nikola and Alexis) were all banished for coming into contact with unclean influences while out in the out-lands. They didn't know each other very well before that time but once they had become Fallen, their common banishment meant they stuck together to start with and from there decided it was a good way to live. They have taken over an old half falling down building on the edge of Hom that they've patched up to keep the water out and the heat in as much as they can. The core group feel their banishment keenly - none of them had any control over what happened to them - but together they have found a new purpose for themselves, in helping to forge a new ideology for the Fallen and helping to guide Lilith while at the same time trying to work out who she is.
Quick Biography:
Rosamunde used to be a Dahlian caravan guard before she was banished. Now she makes her way hunting and gathering to feed herself and her cell and hopefully sell any extra to others to trade for what she needs. When Lilith arrived, Rosamunde was one of the first to pledge herself to the new Fatima. Lilith gave her a new lease on life and those who knew her would see that the delight in life that was stripped from Rosamunde when she Fell seems to be returning at last. She hasn't yet formerly taken the step of becoming a Child of Lilith and the shadow that covered her when she first came to Hom still keeps her with her Doomsayer brethren… for now at least.

Rosamunde was out on a caravan expedition with a number of others (including Alexis and Nik) – the Dahlians were going that way anyway and a number of others had asked to join them for their own reasons. While out in the outlands they were attacked by servants of the Z’bri. They drove them off and followed them back to find out what they were doing so close to Tribal lands. While out there they saw something very strange, something they were not meant to see - a strange device that spoke to them with a voice from the Time Before. They returned to find themselves Banished, declared contaminated beyond redemption.
Rosamunde was never meant to be on that Caravan in the first place, it was meant to be her lover Jenna going along but she persuaded Rosamunde to go instead of her. Now Rosamunde believes it was a deliberate act to get rid of her, but she still loves Jenna deep down (even though she won’t admit it) and wants to find out why.
Vision:
She saw the leaf tattoos that already covered her body blossom and grow – new buds appearing and flowering, the vines growing across her, and finally over her heart one giant bud struggling against the thorns to flower. She dreampt that she took hold of the vines covering the flower on her chest and pulled her tattoos apart to free the bloom and let it open – a perfect flower made of a hundred sword blades.
Goals:
Tattoo’s:
Rosamunde's dark skin is covered in bright green leaf and vine/thorn patterns that slide up the sides of her face, wind around her arms and down her torso and her legs. There are no flowers – there used to be little pictures from her time before she was banished, in the place where flowers would be, but now there are just empty gaps.

Nikola had been sent to investigate disturbances in the outlands, just on the beyond Griffentown. She was traveling with a Joanite of her acquaintance (Alexis) and a Dahlian caravan (on which Rosamunde was a guard). While out in the outlands they were attacked by servants of the Z’bri. They drove them off and followed them back to find out what they were doing so close to Tribal lands. While out there they saw something very strange, something they were not meant to see but didn't understand - a strange device that spoke to them with a voice from the Time Before. They returned to find themselves Banished, declared contaminated beyond redemption.
Vision:
The whole of Vimary was laid out before her and she saw a dark shadow fall over all of the tribals and the fallen alike. The shadow took many forms, the face of a Z'bri one moment, the face of Dahlia the next, then Tera-sheba, then the Baron, then those of her family and friends. Forever shifting and unclear. She took her axe, swung it and cut through the shadow like a cloth, letting in the light to fall across Hom showing a path back towards Bazaar and the tribal lands.
Goals:
Tattoo’s:
Nik's face is dominated by the black life-size tattoo of a skull over her own face. The backs of her hands used to have intricate eyes tattooed onto them - one on each to show Tera Sheba's constant vigilance. Now the intricate detail has vanished leaving only the most simple outline of an eye. Since she fell she has had chain links tattooed around her wrists.

Vision:
He saw a great Hammer, shining brightly in the sky and around it a field of corn ready for harvest. Great fires burnt on the horizon threatening to burn the cornfield to the ground. As he watched, the hammer transformed into a scythe that felled the corn and in a sudden whirlwind gathered up the corn safely away from the fire - yet the corn was no longer corn, and every stalk had been transformed into a blade.
Goals:
Tattoo’s:
Upon his Banishment, nearly all of Alexis' tattoo's vanished - all them so deeply in-twined with his connection to Joan that when it was severed they too were lost. Instead he has covered himself in new markings but these tend to be scarification as opposed to ink but they mark him out and tell his story all the same. In particular he has crossed blades delicatly carved on the left side of his face and a mark for every Z'bri he has killed running down from his right shoulder - the marks have nearly reached his wrist.
The Uncovered path were all banished at more or less the same time but for a variety of different reasons. They found each other in Hom and it's there that they became friends. Jacques was being given trouble by some of the rougher sorts and Jake stepped in to help him out. In return Jacques was able to help Jake's daughter with the fever she'd contracted. Ebony had been watching them for a while and finally approached them having seen how they interacted with each other. In Ebony, Jacques saw a kindred spirit ready to uncover the mysteries of the world and Jake followed his lead. They are allied with the Bladed Edge and where the Bladed edge have muscle, the Uncovered Path have a more thoughtful approach to problems and specialise in healing, subterfuge and exploring the mysteries of dream. The Uncovered Path live in a small rebuilt ruin in the village of Hom.
Quick Biography:
Jacques was an Evan shaman and notable healer amongst the Tribes (highly unusual given most Shamans are female). Now he lives with his cell on Hom, helping those he can and looking deeper into the mysteries of dream. Some might say obsessively so. He was banished for questioning Eva too much about her attitude to change and her insistence on removing all trace of the World Before.

Vision:
A metal flower folded closed, opening like a gilded lily inside which is a perfect single sword. The sound of a tear, and the death cry of an owl before a feather falls at the base of the stem. He moves to pluck the flower and as his hand grasps around it thorns he hadn't noticed peirce his hand, the blood flows but he holds on tightly and as he does so he feels an unnerving pulse within the stem, like a heartbeat.
Goals:
Tattoo’s:
Jacques has a stalk of ripe grain down one side of his face and an owl on the other.
Quick Biography:
Jake grew up in Playground but as he grew older he found himself relegated to the role of a Barren within Agnes' tribe. It's the lowest of the low, the scum of the tribe (even some Fallen are treated better by the kids) which didn't fit well with Jake's forthright demeanor. It was while he was a Barren that he got his nickname - not for his cheery temperament but for the terrible scars across his mouth from a particularly bad beating that he took when he spoke up for himself once too often. He decided he'd had enough and ran away to Hom, become Fallen of his own volition - he jumped before he was pushed. Soon after he arrived in Hom he adopted a young abandoned baby girl called Alix whom he dotes on.

Falling:
Jake ran away from the Agnites to find a better life than that of a beat upon breeder. He joined the Fallen willingly not seeing any other way to go. He knew Rosamunde vaguely from having spent time with her Caravan back when they were both Tribal so running away to find her and her friends on Hom seemed like a good option. He formed his own cell with Jacques and Ebony as while he knows how to hold his own in a fight, he still prefers a less violent approach to problem solving than the Blades Edge tend to go for - besides he has a daughter to think of.
Vision:
He was in a wicker cage with the flames rising higher around him. As the heat grew, he started to melt, but it became clear that he was made of metal as his silver skin pooled on the floor. He tried to escape but ribbons wrapped around his arms holding him tight until finally a great sword sliced through the wicker cage and the ribbons both and brought him out into the cool clear air.
Goals:
Tattoo’s:
Laughing Jake has two scars extending from each side of his mouth and he has included these into the fractured pattern that stretches across the lower half of his face. On his forehead is a broken chain link.
Quick Biography:
Ebony was a Yagan Pellis Artisan - responsible for the preparation of specific skins for storage, preserved for future generations to learn from. After her banishment she decided that she would devote herself to the spiritual enlightenment of the 8th Tribe. She felt sure that they had a destiny linked to the fall and prophesy of Joshua that deserved to be recorded as much as any Tribals. She now works to preserve the skins of the Fallen who have died to tell their story and ensure it is kept safe for future generations.

Falling:
She was working on one particular very old skin, an old man who had been in the camps and was present during the liberation. During the preparation they noticed some tattoos that were hidden away from view, they told the story of Joshua fighting Tibor and easily winning and then something happened… but what it was was unclear, it had been scarred over and the tissue was unnaturally twisted - but the end of the story showed both Joshua and Tibor dead. Ebony pointed it out to her superiors and was instantly drawn aside. She was told that she hadn't seen that story, that she should cut it out of the preserved skin and burn it. She refused - this was an honored elder, this was his story to be told… She was given an ultimatum, either she could remove the tattoo, or she could accept banishment and never tell anyone what she saw - if she did, they would kill her sister.
Vision:
There is a bright light coming from the north - it looks like fire and lightning, all white and red and full of violence. And then there is nothing, just darkness. Then red light flows like a river down from the north, eventually covering the entire land like blood. It begins to rise, covering all of Vimary in a thick sea of blood and all Ebony can do is watch. Then a hand emerges from the blood reaching for help but the vision fades before she can decide whether to take it or not.
Goals:
Tattoo’s:
She has a skeletal hand tattooed on each side of her face, almost holding her head. Hidden away she has the forbidden tattoo while down her back and arms she has the story of her life. Also across her body are a number of seemingly random lines that divide her flesh, but to a skilled Pellis artisan it is clear to see that she has marked out the best cut lines so that her own flesh may be preserved properly when the time comes after her death.
