Welcome to the event guide for Falling Down's first event, “The Pillars.” We hope to provide you with all the relevant information you need to enjoy the weekend. If you would like some clarification, please get in touch: gm@fallingdown.chaosdeathfish.com
Lilith the Liberator, so-called Fatima of the Eighth Tribe, has made overtures to her aunt Joan the Warrior. Together they have amassed a Crusade to take revenge against the Z'Bri for Joshua the Ravager's death. Fallen of all Outlooks have started to move into the Duskfall, protected by the Joanite Guild of the Winter Wolf who patrol the mighty forest. There they trained and drilled and practiced alongside the Warrior's Tribe. And finally, with Lilith at the head of the army, a great force of the Fallen and Joanites strode across the Great River and into the H'l Kar to strike against the Z'bri.
For whatever reason, you stayed behind in Duskfall, and await news of the campaign's progress.
The event is being held at Consall Scout Camp Site in Staffordshire. Players are invited to sleep in the bunks in the Gibson and Clifton Huts (the first that you encounter upon arriving at site), whereas crew will sleep in the Windy House Cabin.
Everywhere aside from bunk rooms and toilets are considered IC areas; you should not store important IC items (like drugs or crafted items) in OC areas except when you are there as well.
You can sleep in the IC area if you wish. If you are asleep during Time In, it is perfectly acceptable for someone to gently wake you and inform you that they have injured or killed your character.
You are responsible for providing your own IC light sources and we strongly encourage you to do so. Except in emergencies, modern torches or extra-bright LED lanterns are not acceptable, as such items are exceedingly rare IC. Please use electric candles, paraffin-burning storm lanterns (held low if you take them into combat) or electric lanterns that you have muffled/disguised somehow (for example, by wrapping red or yellow acetate around the glass/plastic casing) as IC light sources.
There is an open-air chapel in the Flag Field site that will be strictly off-limits at all times throughout the event. It will be clearly marked.
Please note that although you can roam freely throughout most of the site, part of it will be marked off to serve as the “River of Dream” area; we will inform you of where this is in the pre-event briefing on the day. We will also be using various portions of the site to represent further-away areas at various points over the weekend; please be conscious of this if you decide to wander around.
Upon arrival on site, please come to the Gibson Building, which is where check-in will be. Once you have told us that you’re on site, and received your character pack (containing any lammies, ribbons and drugs your character is entitled to), then you can get to work unpacking and getting into character. Please also bring your weapons along for checking at this point – we will not provide you with your check-in pack unless your weapons have been checked.
Car parking is available near the Gibson building - crew will be able to take your cars up to the top field to deposit your belongings, but all vehicles need to be returned to the car park before Time In on Friday. Likewise, vehicles will not be allowed onto the top field again until after Time Out on Sunday.
You may arrive on site any time after 4pm on Friday (please do not arrive before this time except by prior arrangement, as doing so will negatively affect your enjoyment of the event). Time In will be called at 8pm (at which point we will turn out the lights in the playing area), and Time Out will be called at 2am on Sunday.
We will be operating a “softer” Time In from 1am-9am on Saturday morning. There is no meaningful difference in the rules or what your characters are capable of during this period, but Guide support will be limited and there will be significantly fewer NPCs sent out.
You must be off site by 2pm at the very latest on Sunday, with no exceptions.
For those that have bought a catering ticket, you will receive 5 meals from Friday dinner to Sunday breakfast. These meals will be provided free of charge IC to those who have OC paid for them. The IC caterers, a small Cell of Lightbringers, are known to be above reproach and their food is noteworthy for never having made anyone ill. What this means is that although the caterers' characters are there and worth interacting with (they may know useful things, or just be fun to talk to!) the food itself is not and will not be a plot point - you won't get IC poisoned from eating food you've paid for OC!
Breakfast will be at 9am, lunch/dinner at 1pm, dinner/tea at 7pm on Friday and 7.30pm on Saturday. If possible, please bring your own IC-appropriate plates, bowls, cutlery and drinking vessel(s).
Players are welcome to use the kitchen in the Clifton Building, but the kitchen in the Gibson Building is for the caterers only. Crew will have access to the kitchen in the Windy House Building.

After the death of Lilith the Liberator, so-called Fatima of the Eighth Tribe, on her Crusade against the Z'bri, the Fallen have had to flee Hom and relocate to Magog, an abandoned Joshuan village from where the relics used to make Lilith were allegedly stolen. Amid increased Z'bri activity, surrounded by Squats, and facing even more hostility than normal from the Tribes, the Fallen must work out how to survive, and how to thrive.
We strongly encourage players and crew alike to prepare music, poetry, song, dance any any other performance pieces they feel are appropriate to the setting and their character. This is an entirely optional thing but we would love to see and hear how the Fallen express themselves - particularly relevant to this event, as it is themed around The Dancers (Agnes and Dahlia).
The event is being held at Sherratt's Wood Camp Site in Staffordshire. Players are invited to camp, either on the “new field” (entirely OC) or the “Camping Field” (entirely IC - please camp in your Cells if at all possible). Crew will camp in the “new field.”
Everywhere aside from the toilet block are considered IC areas; you should not store important IC items (like drugs or crafted items) in OC areas except when you are there as well.
You can sleep in the IC area if you wish (as above). If you are asleep during Time In, it is perfectly acceptable for someone to gently wake you and inform you that they have injured or killed your character.

Upon arrival on site, please come to the Askey Lodge, which is where check-in will be. Please note that we will not provide you with a reference card for your character's abilities, so please make sure you make any notes you think you might require!
Car parking is available near the Askey Lodge.

Welcome to the event guide for Falling Down's third event, “The Fates”. We hope to provide you with all the relevant information you need to enjoy the weekend. If you would like some clarification, please get in touch: gm@fallingdown.chaosdeathfish.com
After Agnes' transformation, life in Magog was not much different. Relations with the Leox squats improved somewhat, and both the Boarhead Confederacy and the Oneida seemed to reduce their attacks directed towards the settlement. But the Z'bri still lurk to both the East and West, Lilith's prophecy still hangs heavy in the air, and Vimary is not yet silent…
We strongly encourage players to think about their character's attitudes towards death, relationships and family. This is an entirely optional thing but it's particularly relevant to this event, as it is themed around The Fates (Baba Yaga, Eva and Magdalen).
The event is being held at John's Lee Wood Camp Site in Leicestershire. Most players will be sleeping indoors, and should have had information sent to them about where they will be camping (in either the Harry Walker or Alan Gutteridge Cabins - communal areas will be IC but bunk rooms OC). Crew who are sleeping in bunks will be either in one of those two cabins, or the Collier Hut (entirely OC). Any crew who wish to camp, and any players wanting to camp OC, should do so in either the Deer or Peewit glades. Players wishing to camp IC should do so in either the Thrush, Fieldmouse, Wren or Adder glades.
Everywhere else, aside from the toilet block, log sleeping shelters and the chapel are considered IC areas; you should not store important IC items (like drugs or crafted items) in OC areas except when you are there as well.
You can sleep in the IC area if you wish (as above). If you are asleep during Time In, it is perfectly acceptable for someone to gently wake you and inform you that they have injured or killed your character.

There is an open-air chapel that will be strictly off-limits at all times throughout the event. It will be clearly marked. Please also avoid the log sleeping shelters.
Please note that although you can roam freely throughout most of the site, part of it (likely the Badger glade) will be marked off to serve as the “River of Dream” area; we will inform you of where this is in the pre-event briefing on the day. We will also be using various portions of the site to represent further-away areas at various points over the weekend; please be conscious of this if you decide to wander around.
Upon arrival on site, please come to the Dick & Phil Cabin, which is where check-in will be. Please note that we will not provide you with a reference card for your character's abilities, so please make sure you make any notes you think you might require!
